According to some national directors (those in charge of organizing their country’s preliminary to the Miss Universe pageant) via twitter, they have been notified that the 2012 edition of the contest will take place during mid-December, in a year that the Summer Olympics (August) and the United States Presidential Election (October, November) will be of priority in most of the world’s top media outlets.
There are also rumors that the venue for this year could be Sun City, South Africa, but this information has not been confirmed nor denied by Miss Universe officials. Confirmation on venue and an exact date will be announced shortly.
The Miss USA pageant will be held in Las Vegas on June 3rd. Both pageants will be televised live by american network NBC.<http://globalbeauties.com>
